As a social entrepreneur working across philanthropy, community and environmental change, Shannon Hopkins needed a brand that could hold both her personal story and the breadth of her work. Through curated events and gatherings, she brings philanthropists together with the people and organisations driving meaningful change. The identity needed to feel human and optimistic, while providing a flexible platform to support the conversations, collaborations and initiatives that emerge from the spaces she creates.

Our approach

The creative idea, Catalyst for Change, positions Shannon not simply as an organiser of events, but as someone who sparks possibility – bringing people together, nurturing ideas, and enabling projects that respond directly to the challenges and opportunities communities face.

Because Shannon’s work centres on convening people and enabling collaboration, the identity needed to communicate movement, connection and emergence.

The identity balances elegance with warmth to reflect the personal nature of Shannon’s work. The logo is designed to feel like a signature. It’s refined, distinctive and human, which reinforces the idea that this is a brand built around trust, relationships and personal leadership.

The brand mark is simple and robust to communicate authority, yet dynamic enough to express optimism and playfulness. A special ‘boilerplate’ graphic which combines the mark with a simple description of their approach sets the standard for potential partners.

A key challenge was creating a brand that felt both personal and purposeful: something that could communicate Shannon’s role as a connector while clearly expressing the values at the heart of her work: community and belonging, collective futures, and living landscapes. These themes help organise and give structure to both past and future initiatives.

A flexible system of organic shapes forms the foundation of the visual language. These shapes overlap, intersect and combine in evolving compositions, symbolising the coming together of people, perspectives and ideas. Their fluidity reflects the collaborative environments Shannon creates, where connections can spark new initiatives and directions.

Photography reinforces this sense of optimism and progress. Imagery focuses on people, places and initiatives working towards positive change, presenting a hopeful, forward-looking perspective that reflects Shannon’s belief in building better futures.
